President Bond moved to New York City 15 years ago for a one-year assignment for work. His employer asked President Bond to stay for a few more years and he’s been in the city ever since. President Bond moved to the city after graduating from BYU’s accounting program and is currently a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, an accounting firm in the city.
President Bond grew up all over the country. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived there for 11 years before his family moved to Sandy, Utah. After another 7 years, his family moved again to Valencia, California (Southern California). President Bond’s parents have subsequently retired to Utah, where he frequently visits them. President Bond has three brothers, one sister, and 16 nieces and nephews, all who live in Utah or California.
President Bond served a mission in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission and loved it! It was such an amazing, but different, culture with wonderful food and the nicest people.
When he’s not working, President loves enjoying everything the city has to offer (Broadway shows, great international food, parks, and cool experiences). He also loves to travel. Most of President Bond’s family members are certified scuba divers, so some of his travel destinations center around that. He also loves to snow ski.
President Bond loves the YSA stake and serving in it. He served as the stake clerk when the stake was first created, and he has been serving on the high council for the last year. He also loved his time as a YSA in the city. When he first moved to the city, he attended the Manhattan 8th Ward (a predecessor of the Lincoln Square YSA ward) and then the Harlem YSA Ward. President Bond looks forward to getting to know each of you and serving with you.
